Birch Close

Terraced Garden/Retaining Wall
Project Description

The customer required the erection of a retaining wall as an additional featured in their existing terraced garden. The job would need to incorporate steps to higher level of garden and slabbing on both levels. The wall was to serve a practical as well as decorative purpose: the wall would hold back ground in garden and also open space up for use. Slabbing was used to ensure hard-wearing protection and provide the minimum of maintenance. All materials used were selected to match existing finishes. Materials supplied by Travis Perkins of Grantown, and slabs supplied by client (recycled). Quarry products and waste disposal from Ritchies Quarry, Aviemore.
