Listed Building Structural Work

Former Meadowside Hospital, Kincraig
Project Description

Removal of a network of original timber lintels and replacement with pre-stressed concrete which were not fit for purpose on the former Meadowside Hospital, a CAT2 Listed Building near Kincraig.

Inside the building, there were wall heads which carry the roof and externally there was a lintel which took exterior masonry. Where the weight had shifted/cracked the wall, water was penetrating in and damaging the interior. There was also a danger of the timber lintels failing. One side had been repaired and stone removed, so this had to be replaced along with all lead work. The job was overseen and done in conjunction with ADAC Structures.

All materials supplied by Travis Perkins, Grantown On Spey and waste disposal supplied by Ritchies Quarry Aviemore.
